Dear Fellow Golfer,
You are invited to enter a team in the 24th Annual Newark Rugby Union Football Club Golf Society Open day on Friday 26th May 2017. Once again we are at Gainsborough Golf Club by kind permission of John Clark our very own Chief Executive of Ping Europe.
Those of you who have played in previous tournaments will know of the exceptional quality of the golf course, the generous help and assistance from the Gainsborough Golf Club team and the wonderful prizes which are available.
Those playing the course for the first time will, we guarantee, be playing a course which will test you and provide a great deal of enjoyment.
The competition is open to men and women and mixed teams are welcome. As per last year, we have brought the whole programme forward one hour.
The entry fee is £155 per team, including meals. Entries should be received at the Club, for the attention of Barry Thompson by Thursday 18th May 2017 Restricted Entry - First Come First Served.

Each year we sell sponsorship for the 18 holes for £25.00 plus vat per hole, if you would like to sponsor a hole or donate a raffle prize, please tick the box below.
I hope you are able to join us this year and request that you complete the enclosed entry form and return it to Barry at the Rugby Club, along with the entry fee as soon as possible.

Competition Format and Times
9.30am: Meet Checking of entry forms, fees of £155 per team and issue of scorecards.
10.30am: Bacon Rolls & Refreshments.
11.50 am Shot Gun Tee Off
Format:
a:- Stableford Competition, Best Team Score (Aggregate Best 2 Scores),
b:- A separate competition on the same format but on full handicaps is a First Prize for the best team where all the members are over 70 years of age.
5pm: - Rolling Carvery & Sweet followed by Prize giving. (Collar and tie please.)
Handicap:- Maximum Handicap Gents: 24 - Ladies 36.
Allowance:- Three quarters handicap, ladies and players over 70 years of age to have two additional courtesy shots. Longest Drive hole 13 - Nearest Pin holes 3 and 17.
The winners may be asked to produce Handicap Certificates
