Tribute to Max

The annual Vets versus Virgins match on Thursday evening will be a tribute to 17-year-old Max Hubbard, the club’s youth player who was killed in a recent road crash.
The club’s senior youth section will be joined by Max’s friends from King’s School, Grantham, to form a big squad to take on the club’s vets in this traditional Xmas occasion.
The girls’ section are organising a raffle on the night. All are welcome. Free entry.
Max, whose funeral was held last Friday, was a talented sportsman who played cricket, football and athletics besides joining brothers Josh and Sam in the club’s mini and youth set up.
His death has prompted an enormous number of tributes from his school friends and sports groups including these from our own youth group and coaches…
