Newark Rugby Club Season 2017/18

As we get ever closer to the start of the new season below is some IMPORTANT information regarding facilities.

Fixtures

All fixtures have now been arranged for all Senior, Mini, Youth and Girls including Club, League and Cup games. These will be available in the Member’s Handbook, which is available upon payment of membership fees. They will also be posted on the club website.
Season starts Saturday 2nd September 2017.

NB – If fixtures are called off the club must be informed immediately.

Training Nights

The following nights have been allocated commencing Tuesday 22nd September:

• Tuesdays Seniors, Under 14s and Under 15s
• Wednesdays Under 13s and Under16s, Veterans and Ladies
• Thursdays Seniors, Colts and Under 13/15/18 Girls

To avoid confusion please view the chalk board in the club foyer for allocated training pitches.

Sundays

Sunday 3rd September sees the return of Mini, Youth and Girls Rugby to Kelham Road and sees a number of changes around the site.

Mini Registration Day:

As in previous years, the Registration Days are split in to 2 days:
3rd September Registration of U6/7/8/9’s
10th September Registration of U10/11/12

To make the process quicker for registration, forms can be supplied in advance and brought in on the morning, together with the appropriate payment.

Please note OPRO will be present on 3rd September 2017 ONLY due to the pressure of space on the 10th September.

Changing Rooms:

Yes, we will have finally finished Phase 1 of our clubhouse development and we will have some fantastic new changing facilities!! As in the past changing rooms will be allocated on matchdays to home and away sides and there will be a notice board in the entrance to sign post sides accordingly.

Pitch 1:

The perimeter of pitch 1 has been altered to give a more stadium like feel. The scoreboard has been moved and advertising hoardings have been increased to create this.

Car Parking:

To try and ease the congestion of car parking on Sunday mornings a new layout has been designed to accommodate our ever-increasing popularity! We are still very much a building site as we strive to complete Phases 2 and 3 of the development so please bear with us and in particular the volunteer car parkers who tackle the job every weekend!

The lucky age group chosen to manage the car park on 3rd September will be this season’s U13’s. Please arrange for 6 volunteers to be at the club for 9am on the 3rd.

PLEASE NOTE:

ALL sides (Senior Youth and Girls) will be responsible in making sure that the changing rooms (home and away), are swept out after matches and all litter is placed in the bins supplied.
