Issued on behalf of England Rugby 2015

Fans from around the world will have further opportunities to buy tickets for Rugby World Cup 2015 matches with more tickets on general sale today, Tuesday March 31, via Tickets.rugbyworldcup.com

In addition to the 10 matches currently on sale, it is expected that tickets for a further 20 matches will be available including the Tournament’s opening match at Twickenham Stadium - England v Fiji, New Zealand v Argentina at Wembley Stadium, France v Ireland at Millennium Stadium and South Africa v Scotland at St James' Park.

In total over 70,000 tickets will be available from today. These include just under 50,000 tickets currently on sale and over 20,000 new tickets which are a mixture of seats released from ongoing venue planning and configuration, handbacks from the Tournament's commercial programme and unions, and tickets that have been registered for official resale by fans who can no longer attend matches. Further tickets will be released for general sale over the coming months and details will be released in advance of sale.

The official ticket resale service, which opened on March 24, allows fans to sell tickets for matches they can no longer attend at face value, through a secure, transparent and authorised system at tickets.rugbyworldcup.com. Tickets posted for official resale before March 30 will go on sale today (March 31). Tickets posted from March 31 will go on general sale at tickets.rugbyworldcup.com within 72 hours. The official resale programme will run up to and during the Tournament. Any ticket posted and not sold through resale 24 hours prior to a match will remain the property of the selling fan for them to use to attend the match.

In order to enjoy the best possible spectator experience and not be let down or misled, Rugby World Cup 2015 is urging fans to only buy tickets from official sources. For more information and to check whether a company or certain website is an official RWC 2015 channel, fans can use the ‘Official Checker’ tool located at www.rugbyworldcup.com/buyofficial
