Pleased to report a most enjoyable Pratt Trophy & St Patrick’s Day at Newark GC last Friday.
Eighteen of us turned out for this postponed event which allowed us to introduce an Irish twist to the day in the form of Shane Cotter, our man in Co Clare, ghosting in each team. Not a format that we have experienced a lot previously but Shane assures me that it is frequently played over there when ‘ya man’ is needed. In fact, he claims that he has known 4Bs to have two or even three ghosts on occasions but never four of course as this would be taking it just too far.
Whatever, it proved a lot of fun and may well be used again in the future – like next March.
Our thanks also go out to Shane for his Cheltenham tip – Presenting Percy racing home at 11-1 much to the satisfaction of messrs Strudwick, Thompson & Hine who all invested a few shekals.
Finally, thanks again to Strudders & Gelly for their organisation and contributing to the prize table. Much appreciated chaps.
Follow that Bill.
Regards,
Nick Maltby
