FANTASTIC NEWS

The Club has been informed that we have been successful with our application for funding from Sport England (subject to contract).

Formal announcements of the approved schemes will be made by Sport England tomorrow (Thursday 30-06-2016).

We applied for an amount of £295,000 and this has been granted in full.

What does this mean?

With our own superb fund raising efforts, plus the likelihood of funding from the RFU, we are now able to proceed with Phase 1 of the New Clubhouse Project.

Phase 1 comprises brand new changing accommodation to RFU standards, situated at the far end of our current facility.

This heralds the next chapter in our Club’s wonderful history.

We are currently tendering for the building works and anticipate appointing a principal contractor by the end of July.

Main building work will commence around the start of the season, with completion by the end of the season.

Note - there will be no disruption (other than parking being restricted) during this phase.

Subsequent Phases will involve demolishing the current Clubhouse & changing accommodation and replacing with brand new facilities that will rival any Junior Club’s facilities.

Full plans will be on display in the existing Clubhouse at the start of the coming season.

Successfully reaching this stage has involved a huge amount of effort by dozens of people in the Club.
In particular, our own fund raising efforts have been praised by Sport England.

The Club would like to warmly thank everyone that has contributed to date.

To complete the subsequent Phases will require additional funding and preparatory work has commenced in this regard.
You will be kept updated as to how we are progressing in our efforts.

Please don’t forget that there are still plenty of ways that anyone can assist in the New Clubhouse Project.

You know where we are!
