We are recruiting!

We are looking for new team-mates to join our rugby team next season

Have you ever played rugby?
No? - Not a problem! - We welcome new ladies, age 16+ at all levels of experience and fitness.

You don't need to be fit!

All you need is some enthusiasm and a sense of fun and you will be amazed how much you can learn in a short space of time. And you'll be getting fitter too!

We have a number of beginners at the club along with others who have played through university and beyond. We are all learning together, becoming a great team and having a wicked laugh at the same time. Come and join in - we look forward to meeting you!

All shapes and sizes can play rugby - there's a position on the field for everyone. The backs are the ones who run and jink about doing skillful things with the ball before crossing the line to score. They can be any shape, long, tall, short, fat but they generally have one thing in common and that's that they can RUN! Then there are the forwards who compete in scrums and lineouts and try to ruck the opposition out of the way to win the ball. Forwards can also be any shape or size but are generally bigger than backs and tend to have more POWER!

And at Newark Ladies, it isn't just the rugby - Newark are a very friendly club with a great social element and something taking place after every match.
