Update from David Pick - Project Manager

As predicted the final weeks of the works have been very chaotic and as we near completion there are many strings to pull together to get the job completed. It’s been a great team effort throughout but particularly in the last few weeks.
Kitchen

All equipment is now all in place and the final electrical and plumbing connections are being made.
Bar store room

The room is finished, the beer raising equipment is installed and the first delivery of beer arrives on the 20th.
The Bar

It’s is in place and looks magnificent, the bar is approximately 12m long with a glass mirrored back-fitting and with 3 separate beer stations along its length, there should be ample room to get a pint quickly. Staff training is in hand on the new tills and drinks equipment.
The Clubroom

This is also taking shape, we have 3 large windows looking out on to pitch 1, the suspended ceiling is complete, the floor is down and the final decoration to the walls will be completed this week. The movable wall, which will allow the clubroom to be split in to two areas is on site and will be fixed on the 20th.
The final area of construction works to the road end entrance, are progressing well. The internal walls are up, the ceilings are in, the doors are on, the plumbing and electrical second fix works are progressing and the floor finishes are going down and will be finished for the weekend. The new entrance steps arrive on Monday.
Next week the final tweaks will be made, the new and refurbished furniture arrives on Monday and we will do a final clean ready for the Lunch and Opening Ceremony on Saturday 29th before the First team game against Ilkeston.
It’s been a long journey, many people have helped in so many different ways. Too many to mention in detail but thanks to everyone, we couldn’t have done it without you all.
