Are you ready?

The start of the 2016/17 season is almost upon us, training starts on Thursday 18th August meeting at 7.15pm for a prompt 7.30pm start, training will then continue every Thursday throughout the season.

The Senior Youth Section (u17 and u18) play and train as one squad. Our aim is to allow you to develop as an individual and as player and to help you to make the transition to senior rugby, where there will be an opportunity for you if you wish to experience it.

Whilst the NLD have not provided a competitive league structure or cup competition for us to enter in this season we have a number of quality games against some strong opposition, and believe it they will be very competitive. Are there truly any friendly games? No not when we are playing for our pride as Newark and against our local rivals!

We understand most players want to play for something silver in a season and therefore we have entered the National u18 & U17 competitions, where in the past we have reached the regional final, the Cup is a tremendous opportunity to play against some top sides across the Midlands area in the early stages and if we work hard and qualify that will be across the nation!!

We hope to be defending the Welland Cup a 3 way tournament between Sleaford, Stamford and Newark but we have yet to confirm these fixtures…..

It is very important that you remember to make sure you are signed up to newarkrugby.com
