The NRFC Golf Society is a somewhat wide-ranging bunch meeting monthly to test out local courses and contest various trophies.
Although some members of the GS have rather tenuous links with NRFC they do loyally support the other golfing activities as organised by Society President Dicky Marshall and his sidekick Barry Thompson.
These include, the Open Day at Gainsborough and the annual match v Market Rasen RFC GS, and, most recently, the Building for the Future Golf Day at Belton Park when there was an impressive GS turnout.
Although we don’t have a Ladies or Juniors section we do boast a thriving Veterans section - the qualification being to crack at least 80. See above
Further to this, our annual Tour of Ireland is now well established and always fully subscribed
A particular feather in our cap of late was the selection of Barry T. for Ryder Cup duties.
More in an entertainment role than golf but we would like to see this as the GS being checked out for bigger things in the future.
