The Golf Society’s final competition of the season was held at Belton Park GC on 28th Dec, raising the impressive sum of £600 towards The Brain Tumour Cancer Charity in memory of John Rimmer’s son, Michael who sadly died recently following a short illness.
No less than 36 members & guests assembled for The Full Belton before contesting the much coveted Alan Bishop Trophies.
Later, Stilton, pies, and port were consumed to celebrate a great season of golf that included for the most intrepid members as many as 15 competitions on local courses plus tours of Ireland and Yorkshire.
President FL, Dicky Marshall was on hand to present the prizes and thank all those who have organised and supported the Golf Society over the season.
