A full contingent of members enjoyed a warm welcome at Sleaford GC last week to contest the Golf Society's oldest Trophy, The President's Plate.
Following an excellent breakfast, and in almost summer weather, fourteen pairs played the popular triathlon Stableford format resulting in some impressive scores.
Joint winner, Stuart Smith, making a welcome comeback from recent hip surgery, thanked all concerned for a most enjoyable day and his partner Robin Hounsfield for his valuable support.
Finally, Bill Russell, our host next month, assured everyone that Beeston Fields GC awaits our visit with considerable excitement when we contest the coveted Alf Marshall Trophy.
