Eighteen of us made a most enjoyable pilgrimage to NG9 to contest the Alf Marshall Trophy. Breakfast was most welcome; the sun shone; the course was in good nick for early season, and the ‘yellow ball’ format proved suitably challenging, as most of the scores would seem to suggest.
Our thanks go out to mine host Bill Russell for his organisation, and whose local knowledge, backed up by veteran performers messrs White & Ritchie, saw off the field with ease. Well done fellows, much too good for us on the day.
We now look forward to our next challenge, The Martin Gibbs Away Day at Rufford Park GC on April 28th – entry sheet now open.
Regards to all,
Nick.
note: re BPGC Charity Am.Am 12th May- Pete Barson has vacancies in his team If anyone is interested please contact Pete. GS input to date now exceeds 20 of us and should be another most enjoyable get together.
