The Martin Gibbs Away Day.28-04-2017

I am pleased to report a most enjoyable day’s golf on the impressive Rufford Park course.

Reception and breakfast excellent; weather equally good; the greens the best we have played on for some time, and the bunkers truly a pleasure to play from.

So a no excuse day!

Winning scores didn’t reach the dizzy heights of last year’s 51 pts but Pete Barson, ably supported by Alan Swain, shot an impressive 44. Well done fellows, a good score on this challenging course.

Sponsor Pete also featured twice more on the nearest the pin challenges so all in all he had a pretty good day.
Maybe playing 5 times a week and buying new clubs twice a year helps?

Unfortunately, Handicap Secretary Josh White couldn’t be with us but at his request the cards are being stored for future scrutiny. Watch this space.
