2013/14 was probably the most successful season that Newark RUFC Youth Section (U13-19s) has ever had with great competitive rugby, player development and competition success. We had a player selected for Leicester Tigers Academy in James Newman and a tremendous achievement by Ben Dixon in being selected for England Schools and Clubs. As we embark on yet another season lets hope for more of the same.

A few things to remember.

The Club from the 1st XV down has high standards regarding the discipline and respect shown to coaches, players and spectators. We need to maintain those high standards as we travel away and entertain visiting clubs. Discipline on the field is paramount and any breach of such will not only be dealt with by our own disciplinary committee but also by the NLD/RFU.

There is a dress code for players that again is echoed by our 1st XV, that is, post match, all players should be smartly dressed and wearing a club tie (around the neck would be good!). Remember at home Newark players are hosts to our visitors.

A big welcome to our new U13s having their first taste of the 15 man game! I am sure that the coaching team and the boys are ready to go!

Lets all look forward to a great season ahead and some great rugby.
