Pre-season match, last Thursday (21/08/2014)

Newark played one pre-season match, last Thursday evening, losing 27-14 to Scunthorpe. Captain Matt Clark and Ben Usher scored tries with Clark adding two conversions.

Newark Rugby Club meet Southwell in the final pre-season match on Saturday (Aug 30) before the new campaign starts for proper.

This friendly encounter, kick off 3pm, follows on from last season’s clash in the Notts, Lincs & Derbys Shield first round when Newark won 37-8.

Newark start league action, in Midlands One East, on Saturday week (Sept 6) at home to Huntingdon, kick off 3pm.
