Paviors 50 Newark 19
Newark endured another difficult afternoon this time in the Notts Cup. Paviors dominated the first half to build a 26-0 lead before David Rhodes rewarded a good spell of pressure by grabbing a try just before the interval.
Newark continued the revival after half-time when Chris Tate jinked through for a second try which Matt Woolridge also converted.
Paviors struck back immediately from the kick off but Newark continued to improve and launched another sustained period of attack ending in Arran Riley bursting clear from a tap penalty move.
Unfortunately for the back row, he dislocated a shoulder on landing to touchdown. He was first treated by the club’s physios before going to hospital. Everyone wishes him a speedy recovery.
Paviors finished the stronger and scored three more tries.
