Market trashed by rampant Newark players!

After last weeks ten try, 70 point victory over Mansfield, Newark were not going to let Market Rasen upset their growing confidence.

They did take their foot off the throttle in the second half but still registered a fine 43-5 win and kept their Pennant quest on track.

Tom O’Leary, getting better every game, scored probably the best try we have seen this season in opening the scoring.

Although James Stark only managed one try this week, Max Spurr grabbed a brace with Nick Galinski, adding one to his growing tally.

The living legend that is the Great Richard Byrom sprinted in a 53 yard beaut of a try, (he still hasn’t got used to the new fangled foreign metric measurements).

Martin Brummitt converted all but one of the scores and added a penalty to his points tally to top off a very satisfying afternoon for the second team squad.

Full concentration is going to be required for the game against Nottingham Medics next week as they will punish mistakes and will run the ball from anywhere on the park.
