Impressive victory against old rivals.

NEWARK II (33-20) MANSFIELD

Newark IIs recorded another impressive victory against their old rivals. Another strong defensive display set the platform for 3 breakaway tries in the first half, from Rhys Overland and Johnny Statham x2.

Newark finished the half 19 - 5 to the good.

The second half had the Newark side absorbing an impressive fight back from their vistors, however, a further 2 tries from Bryan Loftus and coach Jock MacKinnon sealed the win.

Dave Andrews capped a good performance kicking 4 of his 5 conversion attempts.
