We were met with a warm welcome, an excellent breakfast, a course in great condition, and golf played on a sunny Spring day.
So what could go wrong?
Very little actually, as the scores indicate.
The exception to this being our efforts to meet the Chris Pickett Challenge of keeping out of those bunkers that The Hotchkin Course is famous for – all 110 of them.
I’m not aware of what the record was on the day but I did hear of one of our party visiting 4 on the first hole!
Suffice to say that the Challenge Prize wasn’t claimed!
Maybe next year because plans are already in hand for a return visit.
Well played gents, and our thanks go out to Chris P. for organising the day and his most generous prize table.
