Our dynamic duo were winners jointly of the volunteer award for their efforts in leading the project team who have redeveloped the clubhouse over the past three years.
And, in recognition, of their outstanding service to the club the pair were also inducted into the ‘Roll of Honour’ for Newark and Sherwood District Sport.
David was project manager while Alan led the fund-raising team which put the finance together for the £1.4 million scheme which was completed in September.
The awards were presented at a special programme broadcast by Radio Newark from the clubhouse on Thursday evening
in conjunction with Newark & Sherwood District Council and Active Leisure Sports.
In the absence of Alan, who is away, chairman Andrew Fearn stood in at the awards ceremony.
Thank you to all in the Newark & Sherwood District Council sports team and the Radio Newark gang led by Matt, Vicky, Mick and Tony.
