Under 9 - Training Report

Another mild training session saw the usual enthusiastic turnout for the U9's, with 4 sets of coaches doing various drills and routines to sharpen up the team.

With most of the training sessions at U9s level it is very much basics and more basics to instil good habits in the boys. If they get these areas mastered they can never go wrong.

The coaching team are still working on trying to avoid ball chasing and bunching and introduced drills to promote early offloading prior to being tackled to speed up the passages of play and hopefully win matches.

Next match is away to Notts Casuals where we are expecting 1 or 2 teams to be available, Robin is organising numbers and will confirm this week.

Training will also be taking place at Kelham Road for those unable to travel or not chosen at this instance due to numbers, we will ensure that everyone gets a fair chance over the season to play matches.

Final point is regards the Bonfire night event held at the club which was a great success and very busy on what turned into a dry evening, so great for club fund raising.
