Newark family,
Many of you will have watched Spencer grow through our Mini & Junior and now senior section over the years. From cold Sunday mornings on Kelham Road to representing the club with pride every single season, Spencer has been a brilliant example of what Newark rugby is all about – commitment, character and community.
Now he has been given an incredible opportunity.
Spencer has earned selection to represent Scotland U19s in Rugby League, travelling to Las Vegas to take on the USA in what is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
To pull on a national jersey is special. To do it on an international stage in the USA is something most players only dream about.
However, as is often the case with age-grade representative rugby league, this tour is entirely self-funded. That means flights, accommodation, kit and preparation costs are all down to the players and their families.
And if there’s one thing we know about Newark… we look after our own
How We Can Help
Spencer and his family have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds towards the cost of the tour. Any contribution – big or small – will make a genuine difference.

If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing the page with friends, family or local businesses would be hugely appreciated.
Why This Matters
Our Mini & Junior section is the heartbeat of this club. Seeing one of our own progress to international honours is something we should all be proud of.
Let’s show Spencer what the Newark community can do.
Good luck, Spencer – we’re all behind you! ???????
