Day one saw the tour party kick off at Sand Moor GC, Leeds. Well worth a visit anytime but in excellent autumn condition, made better by a particularly sunny day. A great start to the tour.

Day two was at York City GC, Strensall with the weather forecast threatening rain for most of the day, but luckily not for long and Staines was soon back in his shorts.

Our final day was at Fulford GC, York.
Not a course for the faint hearted and once again favouring those who had prepared wisely with an early night, cup of cocoa and a book on golf- namely Charles Hine and his team of day trippers who once again lifted the coveted Bush Cup.
Maybe a lesson for us all?

Others among the prizes were overall Tour winner, Alan Staines, and runner up, James O’Connor. plus winner of The Hood & Turpin Trophy, Dicky Marshall.
