Players, coaches and supporters: have you ever thought about becoming a referee for the first time, or sharpening the skills you already have?

You're all invited to join the Ready2Ref course on Sunday 29th November.

Ready2Ref is designed to be your first step into the world of rugby union officiating. The course guides you through the key laws, behaviours and practical skills you need to referee safely, confidently and effectively. Through a mix of interactive e-learning modules and practical experience, you'll build the foundations to add real value to every match you take charge of.

Afterwards, you'll be ready to referee across age grades, formats like 7s, 8s, 9s & 10s, and community-level games.

It's also a great fit for young leaders. Refereeing builds confidence, communication and decision-making under pressure, skills that carry well beyond rugby. The course introduces key concepts around safety, equity and the enjoyment of refereeing.

If you're keen to get involved or would like to ask any questions please email Tom Mapp at tommapp12@gmail.com. He can advise you or your parents of the next steps. Please note that a online Survey does need to be completed 7 days prior to the course starting.

David Godfrey covered the club's ambitions to build the number of referee's within the club in his recent update. Without referee's we have no games.
