It is now 20 years since Newark RUFC organised a family bike ride to raise funds for John who was severely injured in a 2nd team game at Syston. John is remembered with deep affection by all who were privileged to know him. He was a talented player and would have been a stalwart of the club today as he was until the day he died. He confronted his adversity with dignity and fortitude.

John has now been joined by his old pal Charlie Fehrs, the man who inspired everyone he met. He started the ride, lest we forget.

Please register with Wendy in the club office. Adults £10, under-16s free but must be accompanied by an adult, oaps and students £5. Part of fee to go to charity. Barbecue, drinks and games afterwards. Staggered start from 10am. Entry into prize draw for all riders.
