Club Members Adam Doran, Jamie Matts, Buds Waqalevu and Gary & Lisa Henderson
once again put on their walking boots on Saturday 10th June
and took part in 'Clare’s Climb II’ to raise money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity
in memory of Adam’s wife Clare, who died of cancer 21 months ago, aged 48.
After the success of last year’s climb up Mt Snowden, the intrepid group,
joined by Clare’s friends and family, took on Kinder Scout in the Peak District.
Plans are already in place for ‘Clare’s Climb III’ in 2024!
The group would like to thank all the people from the Club
who kindly donated.
Adam Doran commented:
“It is incredibly humbling to have such support from the Club
and to help us reach our target.
18 months ago we set out to raise a few thousand pounds
to put a little bit back to the people who cared for Clare
with such kindness and compassion.
Wind forward to today and, with the help of this latest fund raising effort,
we have now raised an incredible £50,000.”
