Following the sad news of Dan Godfrey's passing on Sunday 11th October, the family have confirmed details of his funeral.

The service will take place at 12 noon on Monday 9th November at Newark Parish Church, followed by a gathering at Newark Town Hall.

Dan was a long-standing and much-valued member of Newark RUFC, and his connection with the club stretched back to the 1960s. As a player, a supporter, a sponsor and a member of a family that has given the club three generations of players, his contribution has been felt on and off the pitch.

Our thoughts remain with Dan's wife Irene, his children David, Julian and Helen, his grandchildren and the wider Godfrey family.
