As always, Rufford Park GC proved a popular venue with our Golf Society members for their recent Gibbs & Gelly Day.
The Martin Gibbs Away Day Trophy being contested first, over the front nine; followed by John Gelsthorpe's coveted Pratt Trophy around the back nine.
In golfing terms the Rufford Park course could be described as challenging! It's hilly, heavily wooded, and has a number of well guarded greens. But it's very different from the courses we usually play. Hence it's popularity with the Society and why we keep going back for more.
Finally, our thanks are due to Martin and John for their sponsorship, and congratulations to all those who collected a prize.
We now roll on to July 6th at Radcliffe on Trent GC for the Ed Hine & Phil Barker Day. Charles and Tim in charge, with still a few vacancies.
Good golfing.
