Thanks to see England prop Joe Heyes for helping out in a training session for the first team squad and colts at Kelham Road last week.
Joe also brought one of his England jerseys to present to the club which was accepted by life member Dusty Hare whose collection from his own stellar career is a feature of the clubhouse.
Before joining the Leicester academy, Joe played in the Newark youth teams as part of his rugby pathway which began at Toothill School in Bingham and took in spells also at Moderns in Nottingham.
The night was organised by his good friend Richard Staniforth, the club’s former long-serving finance director.
As for the jersey, it’s the one Joe wore against Italy in last season’s Six Nations. So far the tight-head prop has played 17 times for England and is in the squad for the forthcoming tournament next month.
The club website has also stored other pics from Joe’s career so far…
