In 2025, Newark Rugby Club relaunched its 250 Lottery, linked directly to the club's "bigger ambitions" to improve our facilities. One of the key projects on that list was adding floodlights to Pitch 6 — and this week, that ambition became reality.

With the help of and the generosity of The Lost Village and their Community Scheme, the new lights were installed, with training taking place under them for the very first time on Wednesday.

To every member of our 250 Lottery — thank you. The new lights are a fantastic addition to our facilities and will also help protect our playing surfaces, as we're now able to spread the training workload that takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights more evenly.
