Newark RUFC's third team made the perfect start to our three-game series against Southwell on Friday night, running out 35-5 winners in a comprehensive performance.

That win puts Newark 1-0 up in the series, but there are two games still to play, and Southwell won't be happy about it.

This Saturday at Kelham Road:

• 1.30pm – Newark 2nds v Southwell 2nds

• 3.00pm – Newark 1st XV v Southwell 1st XV

Can we finish the series three nil to our boys? Or will Southwell hit back? Their social media suggests that they are looking forward to both games.

Southwell are bringing a big following.

So come down to Kelham Road, bring your family, friends and neighbours, and make some noise.

Whether you've been following the club for decades or have never watched a game here, everyone is welcome. Two matches, one afternoon, and plenty of rugby to enjoy.

See you at Kelham Road on Saturday!
