We are delighted to share some fantastic news — Newark RUFC has been shortlisted for the Rugby Kitchen of the Year award! Run by Rugby Journal in partnership with Rhino Rugby and Koffmann's Potatoes. The competition celebrates the unsung heroes of matchday who keep players, supporters and communities fed and watered week in, week out.

Hundreds of clubs from across the UK entered, and Newark RUFC is one of just twenty to make the final shortlist — a brilliant achievement and richly deserved recognition for the hard work that goes on behind the scenes in our clubhouse kitchen. The overall winner will be announced in the week commencing 7th September 2026.

This is a great moment to remind all members and sponsors that our kitchen and clubhouse are available for you to use. Chef Matt will not let anyone down — he's always happy to put together individual menus to suit any occasion, whether it's a birthday, a work event, a celebration or a private function.
