P T HACKER TROPHY

Gents,

I’m pleased to report a particularly good day’s golf today at Stanton on the Wolds GC when we contested the PT Hacker Trophy.

Breakfast was good, the Golf Manager’s warm welcome was much appreciated, and the weather was even warmer.

The golf played on a course in excellent condition, with seriously quick greens, was of a high standard across the board and all credit to Tim Barker’s team of relative new boys – Trevor Dodds, David Forbes & Mike Kimberley who won the PT Hacker Trophy with points to spare.

Also, many thanks to Pete Thacker – ex Stanton GC member, and course record holder, who hosted the day and provided some most generous prizes.

Oct 2nd: The Hugh Daybell Charity Day in aid of The Brain Tumour Cancer Charity. Newark GC. Full details out shortly.

Oct 18th: The Phil Barker – Ed Hine Golf Day. Radcliffe on Trent GC. Entry now open- to me please.

Oct 30th York Tour- Full tour numbers now closed but day trippers most welcome for day one of this tour at Sand Moor GC Leeds. 09.30 breakfast followed by golf on one of Yorkshire’s best courses.
