Dear Newark RUFC Family,
Just a gentle reminder of a very special evening here at Kelham Road on Wednesday 15th April — our Apprenticeship Information Evening, hosted in partnership with DBC Training.
Whether you’re a young player thinking about what comes after school, a parent keen to explore all the options available, or someone already in work looking to develop further — this evening is for you.
WHAT ARE APPRENTICESHIPS?
An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that lets you earn while you learn, gain real qualifications, and build the skills employers value — all without the cost of a traditional university route. There are opportunities at every level, from GCSE equivalent through to Foundation Degree level, across sectors including business, sales and marketing, data and technology, engineering, healthcare and much more.
WHY ATTEND?
On the evening, DBC Training — one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship providers with over 25 years’ experience and a remarkable 66% distinction rate — will be on hand to walk you through:
• The range of apprenticeship programmes available locally and nationally
• How the process works, from application to certification
• The 137+ live vacancies currently available in the Newark area
• How employers — including levy-paying businesses — fund apprenticeships at no cost to the learner
• Free recruitment support for those ready to take the next step
OFSTED recently noted of DBC Training: “Apprentices quickly become competent in their job roles and make an impact at work, often identifying improvements and new ways of working.”
This is a brilliant opportunity to get real, expert information in a relaxed, familiar setting — right here at your club.
Please spread the word to family and friends — the more the merrier!
We look forward to seeing you there.
With best wishes,
Alan Staines,
Newark RUFC
