Under-16s v Derby at Kelham Road, kick off 3pm.

Youth chairman Alan Staines writes:

U16s – After being denied the opportunity to play Stamford in the U14’s final back in 2019-20 season and no completion in 2020-21 due to Covid, the U16s will play a strong Derby team in the final at Kelham Road on Sunday 24 April kick off at 3pm.
To make the finals they have beaten Dronfield away 53-0, Kesteven at home 33-12 and Paviors away 17-50.

NLD Age Group Cup final
Under-15s v Sleaford at Kelham Road, kick off 1.30pm

U15s - As a result of the local schools programme the U15s had the good fortune and challenging opportunity to enter two squads in the NLD age group.

Youth chairman Alan Staines writes:
The Blues beat Melbourne 33-0, Moderns 34-0 at home and Kesteven 38-24 and will play Sleaford in the final at Kelham Road on Sunday 1st May kick off at 1.30pm.
The Whites initially beat Boston away 12-22 but unfortunately their competition was ended
by West Bridgford in a close game 17-5.

U14s - Convincing wins against Ashbourne 31-12 and Scunthorpe, 12-27 away, in the semi-final and will play Stamford in the final on Sunday 24 April kick off 1.30 at Boston.

U13s - As the U15’s the U13’s stretched themselves to enter two squads with the Blues initially beating Ashbourne at home 30-5 and just edging past West Bridgford away 20-25. They face a strong Stamford side on Sunday 1 May kick off at 1230pm at Kelham Road.

Under-13s ‘Whites’ v Lincoln at Kelham Rpad 10.15am

Youth chairman Alan Staines writes:

The White team had a convincing win away at Boston 10-50, a won a closely fought Plate match against Long Eaton at Kelham road 35-30 and will play Lincoln on Sunday 1st May kick off at 10.15am at Kelham Road.

Thanks to all the players and coaches who made the revival of the annual Vets v Virgins Match a success last Thursday.
As before Covid intervened, the match did not go without prompting plenty of debate. One or two (no names) should have been given a yellow card to ‘cool off’ while the colts ended claiming a win by 33-31.
Some good rugby from both sides kept a good crowd interested throughout.
