Newark RUFC is seeking an organised and enthusiastic volunteer to join our leadership team as Senior Men's Team Manager. Working alongside the Senior Coaches and Rugby Board, you will play a central role in keeping our 1st XV and 2nd XV running smoothly on and off the pitch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
GMS Admin & Player Registration
• Manage player registrations via the RFU Game Management System (GMS).
• Submit teams for all 1st XV and 2nd XV league fixtures and results for home league games.
Match Day Administration
• Coordinate match day logistics for both XVs — kit, balls, water bottles, and post-match food.
• Be the operational point of contact on match days, freeing coaches to focus on the team.
Injury Management
• Lead injury coordination across the Senior Men's squads.
• Manage Sports Therapists and Physiotherapists, and act as the primary contact with The Park (men's, women's, and 16+ sections).
RFU & League Regulations
• Ensure club compliance with all relevant RFU and league rules and registration requirements.
Disciplinary Process
• Take a formal role in the club's disciplinary process in line with RFU guidelines.
Playing & Training Communications
• Assist with squad communications covering fixtures, training, and club updates.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You don't need to have played rugby — but you'll need a passion for the game and the drive to make a difference. We're looking for someone who is:
• Well-organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• A confident communicator with coaches, players, and officials.
• Comfortable with online admin systems (or willing to learn GMS).
• Available on Saturday match days and for occasional midweek commitments.
