It was muddy and windy but plenty of great action to satisfy a good gathering at Kelham Road on Thursday evening.

Thanks to all the players and ref Ashley for a match which saw the Virgins (alias the Colts) topple the Vets (including first-team skipper Will Britten and young speedster Ovi Gilder) 57-22.

Great to see the over-50 somethings well represented in Micky Barker, Nik Codd and Steve Mower.

The colts scored nine tries, including Henry Allen, and are now looking forward to their NLD Colts Cup semi-final on Saturday week (April 6) at Derby kick off 2pm.

No senior games over the holiday weekend, the 1sts play their final league game on Saturday week at Sutton Coldfield.

The 2nds host Grimsby and the 3rds go to Southwell.
