The club for over 35 years has been the provider of support staff to the Newark & Notts Show Ground when they run their Annual County Show. Each year this has become a larger and better show and as a result we have been asked to provide more and more support. This year is no different and we do need you all to step forward and volunteer to help.

The club benefits on a sliding basis, based on the success of the show but we do need to provide staff irrespective of the Weather etc.

Many of you will know that the club face some serious expenditure over the closed season.

Namely:-
New Boilers required Cost c. 20,000 pounds
A New Tractor is required Cost c. 8,000 pounds (Second Hand, if we are lucky enough to find one)
These are must do items

Ideally we would love to improve the Shop area and the Ladies Toilets but again the cost is the problem.

Anyone out there got a magic wand or even the skills etc to help us with these projects? We would love to hear from them!

The clubs commitment to working at the show brings in a greatly appreciated donation towards the costs of the things the club needs and to ensure that we provide the support the Show Ground requires we need to have as many bodies helping out as possible.

The ideal is for people to Volunteer to work full days but half Day shifts (4-6 hours) or even a few hours are a great help. There are many different jobs to be covered and we do provide refreshments.

There is a great atmosphere and workers can take pride in the fact that their donated time (YES that's what we want, Not your Money this time!) helps to provide much needed features for the club.
