The hard work continues to improve 'our green and pleasant land'

Keeping Kelham Road looking its best

Throughout the winter we worry about the inevitable flooding at Kelham Road and how it will impact our facilities.

The recent dry spell has now brought a new set of challenges for our Volunteer Groundsman, David Rhodes and Doug Lynes, plus the Tuesday support team, who are now on site 7 days a week to irrigate and improve our playing surfaces.

Before the new season starts;

• 700kg of fertilizer,
• 600kg of grass seed,
• 90 tonnes of top soil,
• and 20,000 gallons of water (most days)

will mean that we will arguably enjoy the best playing surfaces in the East Midlands. This does not happen without a lot of hard work and the financial support from all of our Members and Sponsors.

A huge thank you to everyone who makes our club so special.
