Match report from Saturday
28 new and old faces turned out for Saturdays game at Kelham Road with 3 players reporting in crook before the day, the squad squeezed into the Tardis changing room 3 for pre match bonding!
Hykeham turned up with a spirited 16, many faces known from earlier times and all made welcome !
From the kick off Newark's view was attack with the first score to Newark within 10 mins of the start, time to ring the changes and roll on roll off subs to kick in, a theme which continued for the next 60 minutes.
Martin Brummitt being a good sport and donning a red shirt to help the Hykeham lads take a break!
The game continued much in the same fashion with a final score of Newark 47- Hykeham 0,
Rugby was the winner with much mirth back in the bar.
Newark's side included Neil Allsop and Mark Gill both making a comeback to the game.
