The Vets showed their greater experience to win this annual Christmas contest.

The Vets won by five tries to four. They led 12-10 at half-time and finished in charge.

Tries for the Vets came from Dave Shiels, Aloesi Waqalevu, Ben Wells, David Fotheringham and Alan Staines.

For the Virgins - Alex Scott, Ben Skelton, Sam Booth and Billy Charles replied.
