Thank you to all the coaches and players who made the visit of the Mo-Bro's a success....this touring team fund-raise and campaign to promote awareness of men’s prostate cancer.
Friday night saw over 40 of the club’s mini and youth Section enjoying coaching sessions run by Scott Hamiliton , the former Leicester and All Blacks wing who is now playing and coaching at Hinckley, plus Dan Ratu, the Fiji and the British Army player.
Saturday’s much talked about clash between a combined Newark and Southwell Vets against the Mobro’s was staged in three 20 mins periods.
The Newark and Southwell Vets were reforming to celebrate a three-year anniversary of their match at Twickenham against the Parliamentarians .
The Mobro’s proved a tough challenge and the visitors ran out 49-17 winners.
Club President John Coles spoke at the pre-match lunch about the Mobro's and the great work they were doing raising awareness of Men’s Prostrate Cancer and money for this wonderful charity , a total of over £1,000 was raised over the weekend.
Spencer Lochhead of the Mobro's thanked the club for the hospitality and generosity over the weekend and said it was hoped to come back next year for another fixture.
