Two different starting XVs

Newark fielded two different starting XVs in a pre-season round-robin tournament at Diss on Saturday, playing the host team and Norwich.

Tries by wing Toby Edlin and prop Shaun May brought Newark victory in the first game against Norwich, 10-7, the hosts having scored first.

In the second match, Diss dominated to run out 35-0 winners.

Newark’s next pre-season game is next Saturday (Aug 27) at home to Market Rasen, kick off 3pm at Kelham Road.
