A hard fought match

A hard fought match ended with our 3rds down to 14 players through injury and an experienced Mellish side pulling away in the final quarter.

Honours were even at half time with the score tied at 12-12 thanks to tries from Josh Tacey and Neil McKenna and a Tacey conversion.

Scrum half Aaron Tranter added two more in the second half (enough to earn a bonus point in a league match) and Tacey kicked his second conversion. But the experience and extra man was enough to enable Mellish to secure a comfortable win.

Despite the defeat it bears repeating that fielding three sides is an impressive feat in these challenging times.
