U9 scuttle Corsairs hopes as Newark tell them to “walk the plank”

A solid set of play from Newark saw us defend and then deliver a winning result against Nottingham Corsairs. You can see all the hard work from training coming together with some solid supporting play leading to some breakout runs where we have some pacey legs in the team that help to rack up a number of tries. We are seeing the tackling progress with some hard hitting committed takedowns. With a number finally realising that getting down to the ankles is the only way of ensuring the other team go down and stay down. Shout out to Freddie, Zac and Teddy who consistently stopped the corsairs from gaining ground time and time again. We also saw a lovely dummy pass from Alfie that saw us charge down another try against the Nottingham side. Some ambitious long passes saw us give away the ball a few times but otherwise the side did a fantastic job of putting into practice everything that they run through in training. Another great result for Newark. Well done team!!!
