Newark Rugby Community Foundation
Supporting communities through the power of sport
Newark Rugby Community Foundation is a registered charity established to build on Newark Rugby Club’s proud community heritage and the success of our longstanding Schools Programme.
Guided by our three pillars — Educate, Energise and Empower — the Foundation creates opportunities through sport, education, mentoring and inclusive physical activity. Our aim is to improve wellbeing, build confidence, develop skills and help people across Newark and Sherwood realise their potential.
Our Connection
The Foundation was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in October 2026. Both the Rugby Club and the Foundation are committed to continuing to work closely together, building on our shared values, community connections and ambition to make a positive difference both on and off the pitch. The Foundation provides a dedicated charitable structure to develop community programmes, build partnerships and secure funding, while supporting pathways into participation, volunteering and club rugby.
The Foundation is a separate Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), governed by its own Board of Trustees. To maintain a strong connection between the two organisations, the Foundation’s constitution requires a Director of Newark Rugby Club to serve on the Foundation’s Board of Trustee's.
